"Our Home in Christ" Lionel And Heather Hounkanrin:

'When we started dating, attending a church where we both felt like we belonged was a priority. Lionel was raised in a Catholic environment and attended Catholic schools most of his life in Benin, West Africa. Heather's grandfather was a pastor and she grew up as a member of the Church of the Brethren in central PA. We couldn't have more different upbringings. Thankfully, we found Mosaic Church.

While our background mattered, Mosaic became our 'home' in Christ. At Mosaic Church, Jesus is the center. A young biracial and multicultural couple like us was welcomed and given an unconditional love. We looked for a church where the Bible was the cornerstone of every teaching and we believe God led us to Mosaic Church.'

"What We Love Most" Chaplain Philip and Ginger Ridley:

My wife and I have been a part of the Mosaic family for a year. Coming from a military background, we have had numerous opportunities to serve in many different style ministries. Mosaic, by far, is one of the best. The congregation is friendly and inviting, welcoming anyone who walks in the doors. What we love most about Mosaic, as its name implies, is the beautiful blend of all types of people from all walks of life; people who genuinely love the Lord and are thirsty for God's Word.

More importantly, we have awesome Pastors who share God's truth with passion and sincerity. They have hearts that care deeply for God's people. It is a family at Mosaic. Everyone lends their time, talents and gifts to serve one another and make the ministry thrive. While being a part of Mosaic, God has expanded our vision, increased our faith and given us more confidence in knowing we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us. It is a blessing to worship and an honor to serve at Mosaic and see the hand of God move in a mighty way.

"The First Moment" by Donnell and Celeste Watts:

The moment we walked through Mosaic's doors and were greeted by the warmth of the church, we immediately felt like the most important people in the room. Besides an atmosphere of hospitality, cultural diversity and the unity of believers are a big part of Mosaic.

The Word of God is preached with the truth of God standing tall. Lead Pastor Jim Eaton delivers God’s Word regarding life lessons with a personal transparent vulnerability, yet with a strong secure hold on God’s incomparable power. And the worship is a grand celebration of God’s goodness and love, as it should be!

We have been attending Mosaic for the past 4 years. We believe that God placed us at Mosaic, and we're at home here.

"Fitting People Together" by Joe Hopkins:

I took a picture of CJ playing with other Mosaic children at the 2014 Mosaic Church Picnic.

Although it is just a low quality shot I took with my camera phone, it shows me a part of a big, beautiful picture. There are 7 children all playing together at the Mosaic picnic, and out of all of them, my son CJ is the only "white" child.

Growing up, ALL of my friends were white. In my graduating class of 165 kids, there was 1 African American, 1 Asian, 1 Hispanic, and 1 Indian child. The other 161 of us were white. There were no non-white families in our neighborhood, and certainly none in our church.

By the age of 5, my son has already made friends with a more diverse crowd than I knew in 12 years of grade and high school. We have been so truly blessed to be able to bring him up in a world so diverse and rich in culture.

The bigger part of the picture is that CJ is not the only one who has gained friends from different backgrounds. Although I wasn't necessarily avoiding anyone whose skin was a different color than mine, I certainly wasn't taking any strides to get to know them either. Other than a few co-workers, most of the people in my adult life looked an awful lot like the people from my childhood. All of that has been turned upside down, and I never want it to go back to the way it was.

I love that I am a part of a church that is proud of the diversity of it's people. I love that here, my background doesn't matter, my imperfections, mistakes, and short-comings don't matter. The only thing that matters is that I am here and I want to follow Christ and deepen my relationship with the Lord. I find that I am surrounded by wonderful people from all over the world that are interested in the very same thing that I am, and that is to love and serve the Lord. I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for "Fitting People Together".
